As a Nurse Practitioner at Health Sciences North, you will function within a family-centered care philosophy, providing specialized advanced nursing care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and pediatric units. This role demands autonomy, offering full NP practice scope while complying with all relevant legislative regulations and operating policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive health assessments and diagnoses
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient care
• Provide direct comprehensive care for acute and chronic illness
• Develop and implement health promotion strategies
• Participate in research and evaluation of healthcare practices
Requirements:
• Minimum three years as a Nurse Practitioner
• Registered Nurse (Extended Class) in Ontario
• Certifications: BCLS, NRP, PALS, AED
• Proven experience in NICU and pediatric care
• National Certification Corporation Board Certification preferable
