Make a difference at Peter Lougheed Centre as an Infection Control Practitioner in Alberta. Lead infection prevention initiatives and improve patient outcomes while collaborating with the IPC team in office.
You will assist the IPC Director in developing and implementing the infection prevention and control program, focusing on system-wide improvements. This role requires a baccalaureate degree in a health-related field and a minimum of one year of clinical experience as an Infection Control Skilled. You will provide expert consultation, manage risks, and facilitate compliance with health standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Consult stakeholders on infection control standards
• Conduct surveillance for infection trends
• Lead educational initiatives for staff and partners
• Manage risk factors related to infections
• Evaluate and implement evidence-based practices
Requirements:
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, Microbiology, or related field
• Minimum three years in a clinical health care setting
• Active registration with a regulatory college
• One year of experience in infection control
• Robust communication and computer skills
