Job Description
The Government of Alberta is seeking seven (7) Quality Assurance Automation Developers to support Digital Design and Delivery (DDD) initiatives across multiple digital transformation projects.
The successful candidates will work in Agile, cross-functional teams responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality digital services by designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks, CI/CD-integrated test suites, and quality engineering practices.
Requirements Key Responsibilities
Design comprehensive automation test strategies and test plans.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts.

Build automated regression, functional, integration, and end-to-end test suites.

Design and execute:



System Testing

Load Testing

Performance Testing

Security Testing

End-to-End Testing

Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Jenkins).

Support Agile Scrum teams throughout sprint execution.

Promote QA best practices including: Test Driven Development (TDD)

Behavior Driven Development (BDD)

Code coverage

Code linting

Develop reusable testing components and automation frameworks.

Support AI-enabled testing initiatives.

Collect and report QA metrics and testing dashboards.

Collaborate with developers, product owners, UX designers, and business stakeholders.

Mandatory Requirements

2+ years developing automation scripts integrated with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or GitHub Actions)

4+ years creating and maintaining automation test scripts

3+ years preparing automation test plans and test cases

3+ years using automation testing frameworks
