Shape the future of student mentorship at CMP as Co-VP of Mentorship, focusing on enriching peer connections and facilitating vibrant community engagement. This role includes overseeing buddy pairings and peer pods.
As a Peer Connection Coordinator, you'll commit 4-6 hours each week from July 2026 to April 2027, playing a pivotal role in creating an inclusive setting. Your main responsibilities will include recruiting upper-year mentors and facilitating their connection with first-year students, while also managing supportive peer groups based on interests. Strong relationship management and organization are key to ensuring effective mentorship circles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Recruit and onboard 25-40 big siblings and facilitators
• Coordinate semester buddy pairings for first-year students
• Organize peer pods based on shared backgrounds
• Moderate the anonymous question channel for clarity
• Update the First-Year Survival Guide annually
Requirements:
• Passionate about student connection and belonging
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
• Reliable and organized with large networks
• Strong empathy and communication skills
• Experience in student leadership or mentorship
