As part of the Subacute Inpatient Unit, your primary duties will include conducting assessments and offering therapy to youth facing mental health challenges. You will implement measurement-based care and work collaboratively with an interprofessional team. Familiarity with trauma-informed care and the ability to deliver group treatments are vital components of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments for youth
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions
• Engage in program evaluation initiatives and quality improvements
• Collaborate with community service providers for comprehensive care
• Offer training and consultations to staff and families
Requirements:
• Ph.D./PsyD in Clinical Psychology required
• Registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners
• One year predoctoral residency experience mandatory
• Expertise in evidence-based psychological treatments
• Solid communication and organizational skills
