Exciting Research Technician position at the Arnie Charbonneau Cancer Institute. Focus on cell culture, animal care, and accurate data documentation in a cooperative lab environment.
This full time role, part of the Cumming School of Medicine, involves maintaining sterile cultures and caring for mouse models under strict ethical guidelines. With direct reporting to the Principal Investigator, you'll play a key role in supporting research objectives and ensuring rigorous record-keeping. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform transfections and viability assays for cell cultures
• Handle mouse models, including injections and health monitoring
• Keep detailed notes on experiments and results
• Collaborate with team members during lab meetings
• Maintain compliance with safety and training protocols
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Molecular Biology or related discipline; Master's preferred
• Proven experience with cell culture and working with animals
• Robust organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Willingness to learn and adhere to safety guidelines
