Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team.

About the Prospect

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across multiple functions, including payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and general ledger maintenance.

Prepare and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and supporting schedules.

Complete and submit indirect tax filings, including GST/HST returns, in accordance with reporting deadlines.

Reconcile financial accounts regularly to maintain accurate and reliable records.

Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning activities.

Maintain inventory records and fixed asset schedules, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.

Produce financial reports and analyses to support business decisions and operational planning.

Ensure financial practices comply with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Process payroll on a biweekly schedule while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

About You

Two to five years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a small or mid-sized organization.

Strong knowledge of accounting practices,



financial reporting, and month-end procedures.

Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics or a similar ERP/accounting system.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis.

Previous experience in a retail environment is considered an advantage.

Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage priorities independently.

You must currently reside within the Charlottetown area and be permitted to work in Canada to be considered for this chance.
