Are you a PhD interested in machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, automated reasoning, robotics, or quantum technologies? We are looking for skilled scientists who can translate theory into practice through experimentation and invention, leveraging scientific techniques and implementing systems to work on massive datasets and address never‑before solved problems.

Key Responsibilities
Own the design and development of end‑to‑end systems for Amazon Science.
Create technical roadmaps and drive production‑level projects that support Amazon Science.
Work closely with Amazon scientists and other science interns to develop solutions and deploy them into production.
Collaborate with diverse cross‑functional teams to solve complex business problems.
Maintain a self‑starter mindset, thrive in ambiguity, exhibit strong attention to detail, and succeed in a quick‑paced, ever‑changing workplace.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of building models for business applications.
PhD, or Master’s degree and 4+ years of experience in CS, CE, ML or a related field.




Experience in patents or publications at top‑tier peer‑reviewed conferences or journals.
Programming experience in Java, C++, Python, or a related language.
Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high‑performance computing.
Depth of knowledge in specialty areas such as LLM, RAG, multi‑modal LLMs, recommender systems.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Unix/Linux.
Experience in professional software development.
