As a key executive, you will shape ONC’s long-term scientific direction and spearhead initiatives for marine protected areas. This pivotal role demands a doctoral degree and at least 10 years of senior leadership experience in scientific research. You will represent ONC nationally and internationally, ensuring that scientific priorities align with operational decisions and organizational strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide executive leadership for scientific mission at ONC
• Develop partnerships for ocean conservation programs
• Counsel President & CEO and Board of Directors
• Direct annual budgeting and team management
• Initiate and lead special science projects
Requirements:
• Doctoral degree in a relevant field
• Minimum 10 years of scientific leadership experience
• Proven team management and project direction skills
• Experience in writing scientific proposals
• Record of publications in academic journals
