Step into the role of Mechanical Failure Analysis Specialist at Finning's OEM Remanufacturing facility. Focus on analyzing Caterpillar powertrain failures while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

In this permanent position, you'll be responsible for conducting failure analyses on large mining equipment components. Document disassembly findings, research historical data, and develop reports that facilitate product enhancements. Your work will be guided by safety protocols and aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
• Execute root cause analyses on component failures
• Document component conditions with photography and reports
• Identify product issues for Caterpillar technical feedback




• Correlate analytical findings to component functions
• Manage storage and classification of failure-related parts

Requirements:
• Degree in engineering or related field
• Mechanical aptitude with robust attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment is an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
