Job Overview Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Plant Manager in the plastics industry in Burlington, Ontario. The primary purpose is to manage production processes, optimize resources, and lead cross‑functional teams to meet business objectives. The role oversees daily operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, safety, budgeting, quality control, equipment maintenance, and workforce management.

Perks Total rewards: $155,000.00 – $185,000.00 annually Pension Advantages Management Incentive Program Typical Day / Responsibilities Maintain a safe setting as part of the food safety team, assisting in creating, maintaining, and reviewing food safety plans and other prerequisite programs.

Manage

Production, Maintenance, Mold Shop, and Process teams. Ensure quality standards are established, understood at required levels, and incorporated into all manufacturing practices. Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to schedules.

Implement and monitor KPIs for throughput, downtime, and yield. Coordinate cross‑functional teams to meet manufacturing targets.



Oversee execution of manufacturing schedules based on sales requirements and plant capacity.

Establish plant operating budgets on an annual basis and monitor adherence. Approve all plant purchase orders and expense reports. Identify cost‑saving opportunities in labor, materials, and energy. Lead, mentor, and develop plant staff across all departments.

Demonstrate leadership and commitment to local site’s management systems, review issues reported by employees, attend management reviews, ensure adequate resources, and promote continuous improvement.

Qualifications ~ University degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred. ~10+ years of progressive management experience, with a minimum of 5 years as a plant manager in plastics or food manufacturing. ~ Experience in Quality, Materials, Engineering, Accounting, Sales, Development, Maintenance, and Manufacturing. ~ Continuous improvement through QOS, Six Sigma, ISO/SKF experience an asset.
