We’re seeking a Journeyperson Welder at Elk Valley Resources to maintain and repair essential mining equipment. This full time, site-based position features a flexible 4x4 schedule to accommodate work-life balance. In this role, you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and apply your Red Seal Welder Certification to the upkeep of equipment vital for protected and efficient mining operations.

Your responsibility includes using various welding processes like GTAW and B Pressure welding to ensure high standards of repair and maintenance while upholding safety practices. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and troubleshoot mining equipment
Conduct safety inspections and preventative maintenance
Fabricate site structures as needed
Collaborate with other tradespeople for best practices
Use different welding techniques for repairs

Requirements:
Interprovincial Red Seal Welder Certification required
Valid driver’s license to reach the site
Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills
B Pressure welding ticket as an asset
Mining experience favorable
