JOURNEYMAN HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC (EAST SHOP) - GRANDE PRAIRIE (GPC)

The Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible forthe maintenance and mechanical workings of all vehicles.

Responsibilities

Ensure thatTrican’s core value, “Safe equipment and operations” is the priority inall activities

Operate a hoistand lift device to position machinery in a secure manner

Inspect andexamine vehicles and equipment

Service,diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and perform otherroutine maintenance work

Keep up to datewith industry standards and regulations





Provides guidanceand instruction to less experienced operators, or apprentice maintenancepersonnel

Experience& Skills:

Journeyman Certification in Heavy Duty Mechanics required.

Previousexperience in a Field Mechanic role will also be considered

Valid Class 1license preferred; will consider Class 3 or 5

Protected drivingskills: driver’s abstract will be requested

Physically fit –heavy lifting required

Excellentcommunication skills, both written and verbal
