Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Journeyman / Red Seal Automotive Technician to join our service team. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain passenger vehicles and light trucks independently. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision workmanship, possesses exceptional electrical and computer diagnostic capabilities, and strictly adheres to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Advanced Diagnostics: Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, fuel, and computer system issues using modern scanning tools.
Repairs & Overhauls: Perform engine swaps, transmission replacements, brake overhauls, steering/suspension fixes, and drivetrain repairs.
Routine Maintenance: Complete multipoint safety inspections, wheel alignments, fluid flushes, and tire services.
Quality Assurance: Road-test vehicles to confirm all repairs are executed safely and effectively.
Documentation: Clear documentation of work performed, diagnostic steps, and recommendations for the service advising team.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and sign off on tasks for registered apprentice technicians in the shop.





Qualifications & Skills
Certification: Valid Automotive Service Technician Journeyman Certificate or Interprovincial Red Seal endorsement is mandatory.
Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of post-journeyman experience in an independent shop or dealership workplace.
Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
Tools: Ownership of a complete set of professional hand and air tools appropriate for the trade.
Attributes: Strong problem-solving abilities, physical stamina, and a highly efficient workflow.
