Effective September 1st, 2026, this full time, temporary role focuses on employing diverse teaching methods tailored to student needs. The ideal candidate should hold qualifications in Special Education, with substantial experience in writing IEPs and supporting vulnerable students through behavioral and emotional challenges. Cultivating mental health literacy and social responsibility is a key element of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop individualized Student Learning Plans collaboratively
• Provide differentiated instruction that meets diverse needs
• Collaborate with community agencies for effective student support
• Engage students in outdoor and service learning opportunities
• Offer behavioral management support to students in need
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Special Education
• Experience in Learning Support at the secondary level
• Skilled in IEP documentation and maintenance
• Robust commitment to Truth and Reconciliation
• Trauma-informed teaching experience is beneficial
