About the role
Reporting to the Supervisor, Maintenance Processing, the Industrial Instrumentation Mechanic is responsible for the installation, calibration, repair, and maintenance of all electronic process control field instrumentation in a contemporary coal processing environment. This is a full‑time hourly position that offers an attractive 4×4 day shift schedule. The position is site‑based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C. is necessary.

In this role you will

Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.

In certain components of this role,



it is mandatory to wear a respirator which requires an interference free seal.

Install, calibrate, repair, and maintain electronic process control field instrumentation.

Work in a team‑oriented setting of instrumentation and electrical peers.

Perform all aspects of installation where required, including piping and wiring.

Requirements

Interprovincial Red Seal Instrumentation & Control Technician Certification.

Valid driver’s license.

Experience in an industrial environment.

Experience with control systems, DCS and PLC is an asset.

Solid interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Previous mining experience is an asset.
