Job Description
Contractor Sales Representative partner with contractors to fully understand their needs and assist in planning construction projects. As knowledgeable sales professionals, we can make recommendations which solve customers’ problems. The position offers a base salary plus uncapped commission following a probationary period.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate high standards of safety and customer service
Act as a resource for sales associates
Produce quotes, material lists and follow up on deliveries
Achieve weekly, monthly and annual sales targets
Maintain a contact list and contact schedule for prospective and existing customers
Grow the geographic sales area by building current relationships with contractors and strengthening relationships with existing accounts
Continually learn about products and market conditions
Qualifications
Independent, problem solver
Confident, energetic and self-motivated
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Organized and able to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to quickly develop a trusting relationship with recent customers and build rapport with existing customers
Experience in sales preferred
Knowledge of lumber and building materials, and the construction process is an asset
