Overview
As a Tax Manager in our Domestic Tax team, you’ll work with a wide variety of clients and build your experience across new industries.

Responsibilities

Coach and mentor a team of tax colleagues on compliance, helping them walk in clients' shoes by discussing tax planning options.

Establish deep trusting relationships with clients while advising them on complex tax matters.

Advise clients on reorganizations, rollovers, windups, amalgamations, provisions, estate and trust planning, and manage T1, T2, and T3 returns.

Proactively resolve tax-related issues with clients, tax authorities, and other team members.

Act as a leader in managing our growing tax practice, identifying and developing new opportunities for additional tax services.

Typical Day
You meet with the CFO of a client and the Assurance Partner to discuss the latest developments in the industry, mentor a current colleague, and respond to client requests. You then collaborate with your team to recap the day’s events.

Qualifications

Enrolled in or have completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course,



or hold a Masters of Taxation degree.

Demonstrated ability to present current ideas and conceptualize innovative tax solutions for clients.

Solid experience in corporate and personal Canadian tax compliance.

Experience in mentoring and developing others.
