As a Specialized Laborer in the Civil and Infrastructure team at Pomerleau Construction, you will collaborate closely with all workers on large-scale building and infrastructure projects ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion. Your role will include ensuring coordination and execution of work in the civil engineering & infrastructure sector, as well as commercial, institutional, industrial, heavy civil engineering, and urban earthworks.
What You Will Do
Assist specialized crews and support the completion of site work.
Supply materials to the job site.
Perform grading and install or assist with the installation of sewer and water‑main pipes.
Operate and properly use the tools and equipment provided.
Master the use of a hand truck, shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, screwdrivers, drills, jackhammers, compactor, and other equipment.
With appropriate training and a valid card, use handling and motorized equipment such as forklifts and aerial work platforms.
Adhere to safety procedures to ensure compliance with company and construction industry standards.
Work as part of a team, maintaining a pleasant and trusting work setting, and communicate effectively with colleagues and other trades on site.
Care for and maintain small tools and site equipment.
Carry out all other related operational tasks.
This Role Is Made For You If You Have
A valid CCQ occupancy card.
A 2015 ASP Construction & WHMIS card.
A valid driver's license – Class 5.
At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
