The City of Moose Jaw is looking for an experienced Utilities Supervisor to oversee Solid Waste, Waste Diversion, and Material Management programs. You will report to the Manager of Public Works, ensuring high-quality customer service and operational effectiveness. Candidates should have solid leadership experience and be adept at managing compliance and safety within environmental frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate daily Environmental Service crew operations
• Manage landfill infrastructure and collection projects
• Recruit, onboard, and manage team performance
• Ensure compliance with environmental and OH&S; standards
• Assist with budgeting and respond to public inquiries tactfully
Requirements:
• Degree in technical discipline related to engineering or environmental technology
• 5+ years experience in Waste Management operations
• 2+ years municipal supervisory experience preferred
• MOLO certification or ability to obtain it promptly
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications and contract management
