Step up as the Health & Safety Leader at Blackwater Mine, focusing on enhancing safety measures and overseeing compliance with health regulations in a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off schedule.

Reporting to the Manager of Health, Safety & Security, your role will be pivotal in driving Blackwater Mine’s Health and Safety Management Program. You will lead safety audits and provide mentorship to enhance the knowledge and performance of the safety team. Collaboration with various departments is key to ensuring a risk-free workplace through effective safety training and policy implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead training initiatives for safety compliance
• Conduct safety audits and inspections regularly
• Mentor safety supervisors and advisors for improved performance




• Develop and facilitate health and safety meetings
• Manage data analysis and reporting on safety metrics

Requirements:
• 10+ years in safety leadership roles in mining
• 5 years in safety systems management experience
• Proven knowledge of mining regulations and compliance
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
• Valid driver’s license required
