Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, this role provides nursing services alongside an interdisciplinary team. The Community Health Nurse will deliver immunizations, assist with chronic disease education, and support maternal and child health programs. This position is key in promoting community health and monitoring various health trends effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide immunizations to school-aged children and adults • Establish therapeutic relationships with clients and families • Deliver communicable disease control programs • Conduct health education tailored to community needs • Support maternal and child health programs and assessments
Requirements: • Degree in Nursing from a recognized university • Current BCCNM registration in valuable standing • BCCDC Immunization certification preferred • Experience in public health or community health settings • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
