Position Overview
Effective September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. Teacher (0.289 FTE) and Teacher Librarian (0.282 FTE). The position may increase and the successful applicant must be willing to accept the increase.

Required Qualifications And Experience
Hold, or be qualified for, a valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate
Successful K‑12 teacher training and practicum or evaluation documentation
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Desired Qualifications And Experience
Experience with adapting, and modifying, curriculum to meet the needs of students
Ability to develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with diverse needs
Strong classroom management skills
Experience working with students who display a variety of behaviours
Robust literacy and numeracy skills
Willingness to work and implement school initiatives and goals
Capacity to work independently and in collaboration with a team
Committed to individualized and group instruction utilizing a variety of effective strategies and techniques
Experience teaching in a multi‑age group setting
Engages in fair, student‑focused assessment practices consistent with the BC curriculum and reporting order, and reflects on evidence of learning to guide instruction
Benefits
Pre‑employment signing bonus of $10,000.00 for eligible candidates.
Relocation Allowance: Up to $5,000 for out‑of‑district applicants (with submission of approved receipts)
Northern Travel Allowance: Up to $4,000 of the salary designated as a Northern Allowance Travel perk (subject to CRA guidelines)
Remote and Rural Allowance: Approximately $3,035 per FTE, prorated for part‑time employees (excluded for teachers on call)
Other allowances may increase as defined within the Collective Agreement with the British Columbia Teachers Federation
