Become an Environmental Project Management Specialist with the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, focused on habitat offsetting projects. Guide vital enhancements to support infrastructure while protecting the setting in Vancouver.
This temporary, full time hybrid role requires a minimum of five years of project management experience, preferably in habitat enhancement on capital projects. You will provide technical leadership while ensuring close collaboration with stakeholders and compliance with environmental laws, including Fisheries Act authorisation applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee habitat offsetting projects from design to monitoring
• Prepare and present status reports to stakeholders
• Act as liaison between project teams and regulatory bodies
• Critically review project deliverables and budgets
• Participate in meetings with First Nations and other stakeholders
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or equivalent
• Five years in environmental project management
• Experience working with First Nations and federal guidelines
• Solid teamwork and conflict resolution skills
• Highly organized with effective multitasking abilities
