Job Summary
GDI Ainsworth is seeking a Chiller Technician to join our growing Toronto GTA team. The role will involve assembling, repairing, and maintaining chillers.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose chillers and related equipment with full understanding of product operations.

Install equipment and components.

Assist in the overhaul and servicing of chillers.

Perform maintenance and repair on all chiller manufacturers.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Perform all job functions in a protected and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.

Contribute to the ongoing training and mentoring of indentured apprentices.

Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

313A 4th year to mechanic (equivalency).

G1/G2 driver’s license required.





Certified Red Seal Refrigeration/HVAC Mechanic.

Experience with centrifugal, screw, scroll, and piston compressors.

Tear down experience is an asset.

Knowledge of HVAC Refrigeration trade practices, methods, tools, materials, and equipment.

Current and valid Ontario driver’s license.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preference for dual Journeyman Certification (Electrician, Plumber, Gas).

The pay range for this position is $65.52 to $68.64 per hour. Compensation is based on the collective agreement.
