Enhance student outcomes as an Occupational Therapist with the BC Centre for Ability in Vancouver, BC. This role includes traveling to various districts while providing essential support services to schools across British Columbia.
As part of the Provincial School Outreach team, you will adopt a hands-on, cooperative approach to therapy tailored to students with disabilities. The position allows for both full-time and part-time commitment, with a robust emphasis on adapting practices to meet the diverse needs within the educational system. You will be responsible for implementing effective therapeutic strategies based on evidence and a trauma-informed approach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement therapeutic education programs in schools
• Travel to districts and engage with local educational teams
• Assess motor skills affecting student participation
• Maintain compliance with regulatory documentation
• Conduct case reviews and collaborate with partners
Requirements:
• Master’s degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
• Experience with pediatric populations is mandatory
• Registered with CHCPBC with a valid driver’s license
• Solid time management skills and flexibility
• Proven ability to communicate effectively
