Expected Salary: $68,806 - $114,709

To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

Responsibilities

Work on CL215/CL415 Water Bomber Aircraft and Commander 690’s.

Maintain, adjust, modify, test, diagnose, and repair an aircraft’s mechanical or structural systems.

Work with specialized aviation and power tools, computers, and diagnostic equipment.

Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks.

Mentor AME apprentices.

Keep timely and accurate records of the repair and maintenance activities that were conducted.

Carefully observe all procedures, rules and regulations when performing any task.

Be thoroughly familiar with, and put to use, safety procedures and safe work practices.

Use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for tasks/jobs.

Follow company tool control procedures.

Maintain a clean and productive work area.

Work efficiently alone and as part of a team.

Read, understand, and adhere to the Safety & Health Policy Statement, Company Occupational Health & Safety Manual, and Company Policies and Procedures.

Utilize the Company reporting system to report any hazard, incident or accident.

Enter labor in the labor tracking system accurately for all tasks performed.

Perform work in accordance with all Transport Canada guidelines.





Work Schedule
Oct 1 to April 1: Monday to Friday dayshift. April 1 to Oct 1: 2 weeks away from base, 2 weeks off. The schedule does vary slightly depending on operational requirements.

Qualifications

A valid M1 and/or M2 AME license.

Experience with CL-215/CL-415 aircraft is an asset.

Experience with Garrett Turbine powered aircraft is an asset.

Demonstrated experience working on WinAir or other similar maintenance programs.

Good organizational skills.

Good English, written and spoken.

Physical ability to sit or crouch for extended periods.

Physical ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods.

Physical dexterity to allow working in confined spaces.

Ability and willingness to work shift work and able to travel for up to 4 weeks at a time.

Ability to work at heights.

Eligible for an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC), AVOP and ITAR Clearance.

Ability to obtain a Canadian passport.

Hold a valid driver’s license.

Other duties as assigned.
