NACG is seeking Finish Dozer Operators to join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area. This is your opportunity to join one of the safest and largest contracts in the region.
Location and Schedule
Site: Fort Hills
Schedule: 14 days on, 7 days off (14 x 7). Paid for 12 hours per day. 14 nights on, 7 nights off.
Accommodation: Camp accommodation is provided.
Transportation: Flights to/from Edmonton or Calgary; bus from Fort McMurray to site before and after rotation.
Overtime: Provided after 8 hours in a day or 44 hours in a week.
Benefits
Combined rate up to $54.86 per hour
Vacation and statutory holiday pay incorporated into each paycheck
Earn up to 61 hours of overtime per 14‑day rotation
Night shift premium $1.20 per hour
Weekly pay
Membership with IUOE Local 955

Responsibilities
Operate various sizes and models of dozers to complete assigned work
Interpret stakes and place grades as needed
Ensure compliance with all company, client, and legislative safety policies, operations standards, and procedures
Use appropriate safety equipment, including PPE
Review safe work plans and hazard assessments prior to job commencement and follow all requirements
Perform equipment/area walk‑arounds, safety checks and field‑level risk assessments to ensure equipment is running properly
Report necessary or anticipated repairs to maintenance team or supervisors immediately
Report incidents, near misses, or damage immediately
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Finish Dozer Operator on a civil‑type project
Experience operating D3 to D8 sized dozers or larger
Experience operating in muskeg or soft & wet ground
Experience building roads/corridors
Experience backfilling pipe/trenches
Experience sloping/spotting trucks
Preferred: Minimum one year experience in a mining atmosphere
Proficient instructions adherence for safe equipment operation
Safety‑first attitude
Attentive with strong listening skills
High school diploma, GED, or post‑secondary education is an asset
Proficient in English, verbal and written
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
