Municipal/Civil EIT
Location: Calgary, AB.

Job Summary
The appropriately qualified candidate will have knowledge and experience in civil engineering, civil technology and construction management principles and be familiar with the design and construction of municipal infrastructure. They will be expected to work successfully within a team environment and communicate effectively with other project team members and customers. They will have a high level of initiative and motivation, and display drive, energy and enthusiasm for getting things done. They will be expected to support the delivery of infrastructure projects to customers mostly within the municipal water, wastewater and stormwater sector.

Responsibilities

Assist Senior Engineer with design of civil systems associated with municipal water and/or wastewater / drainage conveyance facilities.

Perform construction inspections.

Perform construction contract administration.

Prepare documentation for design projects and reports.

Prepare construction cost estimates.

Assist in preparation of project specifications and contract documents.

Assist with proposal preparation; contract preparation and negotiation; coordinate with regulatory agencies.

Minimum Qualifications

Registered as EIT (or ability to do so within 6 months).

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

2+ years of related experience with civil engineering, design, construction inspection, and contract administration.

Experience with municipal water,



wastewater and/or stormwater conveyance and pumping infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent attention to detail.

Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clients.

Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary setting.

Experience in the condition assessment of municipal infrastructure is a benefit.

Experience in proposal writing and job scoping is a benefit.

Additional Information

Relocation is not available for this position.

Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.

All newly hired employees are required to attend an in‑person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.

Compensation
Range: CAD 65,000 to CAD 80,000 per year.
