Cutting Line Operator - Precision Steel Processing
You’ll work directly with precision cutting machines and measurement tools, build in‑demand certifications in forklift and overhead crane operation, and join a stable, specialized manufacturing environment.

Not every operator role asks you to think as much as it asks you to move. This one does. As a Cutting Line Operator, you will set up and run precision cutting equipment, program cut widths, and inspect your own work against tight tolerances—a blend of hands‑on machine operation and real technical problem solving. The steel you cut becomes part of transformer cores, which means precision is not optional, and neither is pride in the work.

This is a stable, full‑time production role with a clear rotating shift schedule, room to build in‑demand certifications, and a team environment where your attention to detail keeps the line running.

Why This Opportunity Is Different
This role stands apart because it goes beyond running a machine. You will read and interpret work orders, program cut widths using the machine’s control software, and catch quality issues before they become problems—responsibilities that put real trust and autonomy in your hands from day one. You will work closely with your Shift Manager and Team Lead, with clear expectations and support already in place rather than being left to figure things out alone. Certifications in forklift and overhead crane operation are part of the role, giving you credentials you can carry with you throughout your career in manufacturing. And because this operation runs on a continental rotating shift, the schedule offers structure and predictability that many production jobs simply do not.

What You’ll Be Doing

Set up,

operate, and monitor cutting machines to produce steel strips to accurate customer specifications

Load and unload steel coils safely, adjusting machines to maintain optimal performance

Program cut widths and interpret work orders using machine control software

Troubleshoot machine and workflow issues to keep production moving

Operate an overhead crane to safely handle and position materials

What We’re Looking For

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment

Forklift and overhead crane certification

Basic knowledge of machine programming software

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics

Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to quality

Comfortable working continental rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a loud manufacturing environment

Technical or vocational training is an asset but not required

Compensation & Work Model
Compensation is competitive and will be discussed during the screening process. This is a full‑time, onsite position with no remote or hybrid option – production takes place on the shop floor, working continental rotating shifts.
