Position Title: Ambulatory Clinic RN - Rural Health Family Medicine
Days: Full Time
Location: Osawatomie Medical Pavilion

Position Summary / Career Interest
The registered nurse utilizes the nursing process to coordinate an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. The RN is responsible for promoting and restoring patient health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and team members, and providing physical and psychological support to patients and their families. The RN demonstrates the core values of the organization – compassion, integrity, and unity – and practices within the boundaries of the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, specialty standards, and organizational policies and procedures.

Responsibilities And Essential Job Functions

Consistently meets work schedule.

Demonstrates critical thinking utilizing all aspects of the nursing process.

Maintains a secure environment for patients.

Coordinates health care services with hospital, vendors, physician offices, and other institutions.

Answers patient/significant others phone calls, evaluates patient’s needs, and triages patient care.

Provides patient/family education using available resources.

Acts as liaison between patient, significant others, and health team members.

Identifies areas for professional growth.

Participates fully as a member of the Patient Centered Medical Home Team.

Performs the professional, clinical, and/or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education And Experience

Associate Degree in Nursing

High School Graduate

Preferred Education And Experience

1 or more years of previous healthcare experience

Required Licensure And Certification

Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) – Multi-State – State Board of Nursing

Staff hired prior to 2/1/2024 must obtain a multistate RN license from the state in which they live at the time of their next RN license renewal by 3/31/2026.

CPR/BLS/AED – Other BLS
