About BHP Potash – Jansen
The Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world. It is located approximately 140 kilometres east of Saskatoon and is the largest investment in Saskatchewan’s history. The project is expected to generate about 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long‑term roles. Production capacity is projected to start at approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) and could increase to 16–17 Mtpa in future stages.
Work Location
This role will be based at the Jansen Mine Site in Leroy, SK. The work schedule is seven days on, seven days off. BHP provides relocation assistance for those not living locally, including new home purchase assistance, temporary accommodation and resettlement allowance. On‑site camp accommodation is available at Discovery Lodge for shift workers.

About The Role
In this role you will:
Supervise operational activities to ensure continuous safe operations.
Ensure safe, quality execution of trades and contractors.
Promote compliance with work instruction and operational procedures.
Drive business improvement through measurement of BHP’s performance.
Translate corporate objectives into actionable plans and report progress.
Identify and assess risks, make risk‑informed decisions, and build a risk‑aware culture.
Conduct routine operational and safety meetings to prepare for and manage workload.
Evaluate safety and operational performance and drive changes to maximise safety, cost and volume performance.
Embed practices and tools that enable teams to proactively identify improvement opportunities and detect deviations in daily mining and production activities.
About You
Qualifications and experience needed:
At least 5 years of mining supervisor experience.
Prior experience leading a team or training is recommended.
Red Seal Certification for trade roles.
Mine Supervisor Certification.
Demonstrated experience in managing teams and overseeing projects.
Strong communication skills.
Aptitude for building and maintaining strong relationships.
