Overview
Status: Permanent Full-time @ 30hrs/week
Location type: In-Clinic (primarily), with possibility of Hybrid
Compensation: $36-60/hour or salary or Fee for Service
Lifemark Health Group is seeking a personable and confident Registered Clinical Counselor to join our Lifemark Harvey Avenue Clinic. The primary focus of this position will be to work in a multidisciplinary treatment program. Based on the applicant’s skills and interests, other roles for this position could include providing services to mental health clients funded by third-party insurance programs (eg., long term disability, ICBC, and/or WorkSafeBC); supporting other multidisciplinary programs at the clinic (eg., occupational rehabilitation or concussion recovery); or providing services to private mental health clients.

Responsibilities
Provide counselling services to clients referred privately, by employers, by various insurance companies, and other third-party organizations to address psychosocial problems related to injury, trauma, and mental illness.
Facilitate/co-facilitate psycho-education groups for adults with PTSD and other trauma-related disorders
Adopt a goal-focused, therapeutic approach for alleviating distress and improving social and occupational functioning.
Participate weekly in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss clients’ treatment plan and goals, the progress made to date, and any barriers to treatment.
Complete administrative tasks to include file management, communication, and report writing.
Licensing & Qualifications
Clinical Counsellors must have a Master’s degree in Counselling/Clinical Psychology and be registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counselors
Experience
Training and/or experience with evidence-based treatment for PTSD.
Experience in case conceptualization and treatment of a range of mental health symptoms with a variety of adult clients.
Have clinical knowledge in the areas of grief/loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment issues.
Knowledge of psychological management of chronic pain and head injury/concussion management an asset.
Experience working as part of a multi/interdisciplinary team.
Experience preparing assessment, progress and discharge reports.
Excellent interpersonal skills, solid judgement, and integrity.
