Position Summary
Talent Management Specialist – National Office, Brampton.
Responsible for implementing key Talent Management programs across Canada, including Performance and Succession Planning cycles, My Talent World administration, and the promotion of signature talent management initiatives.

Responsibilities

Work in alignment particularly with junior leaders within the business to support growth and development of themselves and their employees.

Align with regional Talent Experience team members as well as multiple HR Canada team members to ensure holistic talent management focus and alignment with regional and global initiatives.

Advocate for local country needs and suggest how global and regional programs could address these needs.

Facilitate talent brokerage across the globe and across different business units to diversify talent and take advantage of the DHL network for key vacancies.

Manage and execute the company’s Individual Development Plan and Tuition Assistance programming, socializing learning, tools and activities.

Identify and recommend opportunities for development assignments as aligned with employee’s development plans and business needs.

Promote, manage and track development programming within the business.

Maintain and actively innovate DHL’s onboarding program for hourly and salaried team members to enhance the experience for all, working closely with Talent Experience team.

Coach leaders on performance management to ensure documentation is occurring and performance reviews are properly completed.





Execute succession planning for all functions on an annual basis and work closely with HR Business Partners on a quarterly basis to ensure successors are invested in and still interested in said positions.

Bring forward recent ways of addressing and closing talent gaps to sustain the company’s people strategy for years to come.

Manage and recruit for certain requisitions where an internal candidate is identified and preferred.

Issue employment contracts, STEP plans, etc. for internal candidates in alignment with Sr. Manager Talent Acquisition & Talent Management.

Generate reports and slide decks to highlight strengths, opportunities, and concerns as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

3-5 years of professional experience in either human resources, project management, or a relevant field.

University degree in a relevant field.

Lead by example when it comes to prioritizing your own development.

Insanely motivated and energetic.

Strong interest in project management and data analysis.

Practical and methodical approach to program deployment.

Proven organizational and communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities at once.

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Attention to detail in all areas of work.

Bilingual (French and English) an asset.
