Become a sessional instructor in Contemporary Languages at MacEwan University by teaching Introductory Japanese. This position is ideal for academic candidates in diverse languages.

The Department of Humanities at MacEwan University is looking for sessional instructors for the JAPN 101 and JAPN 102 courses. There will be additional prospects for candidates with teaching experience in other languages, including Chinese, French, nêhiyawêwin/Plains Cree, or Spanish. A minimum of a Master's Degree is required, with preference for candidates holding a PhD, alongside relevant teaching history.

Key Responsibilities:
• Teach introductory courses in Japanese language
• Prepare lessons and course materials
• Grade assignments and monitor student outcomes




• Collaborate with peers for improved language offerings
• Maintain a supportive classroom atmosphere

Requirements:
• Master’s Degree required; PhD is preferred
• Experience teaching in post-secondary education is beneficial
• Availability for Fall, Winter, or Spring/Summer classes
