This position is open to ATU 569 members looking to advance in the heavy equipment field. You will be exposed to comprehensive training aligned with NAIT standards, preparing you for a Truck & Transport Journeyperson certificate. Mentorship from experienced specialists will empower your ability to diagnose and repair fleet vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in inspections and repairs alongside Journeypersons
• Independently perform tasks as you learn
• Input detailed information into fleet management systems
• Troubleshoot issues within the bus fleet
• Communicate efficiently with shop personnel
Requirements:
• 12th grade completion with exam success
• Enrolled in the Apprenticeship Program
• Two years’ vehicle maintenance experience
• Hold a valid Alberta Class 3 driver's license
• Lift up to 75 pounds as needed
