Enhance marine education at Memorial University’s Fisheries and Marine Institute. We seek an instructor to teach and develop courses in Marine Engineering, both in-person and online.
As part of the Marine Institute’s School of Maritime Studies, you will play a vital role in shaping marine engineering curricula and delivering engaging educational experiences for students. Your collaboration with industry partners will help maintain the program's relevance and effectiveness in today’s marine transportation landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver the Diploma of Marine Engineering Technology
• Create and assess curriculum and course materials
• Evaluate student performance and provide actionable feedback
• Partner with industry to ensure course relevance
• Advise students on career prospects and placements
Requirements:
• Minimum of ten years' marine transportation experience
• Transport Canada First-Class Engineer Certification required
• Bachelor's degree in maritime studies or relevant field
• Experience with high-voltage systems is an asset
• Considerable teaching experience at the college level preferred
