We are currently seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Crew Supervisor to oversee and coordinate various landscape construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid background in construction management, landscape construction. This role requires a hands‑on approach to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Effectively lead a landscape construction crew, providing training and development to crew members and ensuring quality workmanship.
Monitor job progress for efficient completion of projects, evaluating hours on site to estimate costs and seeking change orders for additional work.
Install a variety of landscape features including retaining walls, paver walkways and patios, concrete, and planting of shrubs and trees.
Operate skid steers and various sizes of excavators.
Operate hand and power tools safely.
Maintain a clean and safe work site, truck, and trailer,
and conduct daily tailgate meetings in the morning with the crew.
Work on the snow removal team during the winter for year‑round work.
Develop project schedules and budgets while monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary.
Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a cooperative work environment.
Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality and adherence to specifications.
Qualifications
5+ years of proven experience in construction management or a related field with a focus on landscaping projects.
5+ years of solid supervisory experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
Knowledge of landscape construction practices and civil construction work.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in project execution.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
Ability to problem‑solve and make decisions under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
Can operate a mini excavator, skid steer, and other types of equipment.
