Make a difference as an Intake Social Worker with VACFSS in Vancouver, BC. This part time role focuses on child safety and requires collaboration with families and communities.
Engaging in this 21-hour weekly position, you will be responsible for assessing safety concerns and implementing restorative child welfare practices. Your work will emphasize emotional competency and relational engagement to ensure the well-being of children.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and analyze child safety reports
• Perform holistic assessments including Prior Contact Checks
• Collaborate on service planning for children
• Engage with community, family, and Elders
• Document decisions in compliance with VACFSS standards
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields
• Minimum of 2 years C6 delegated experience
• Knowledge of the Child, Family and Community Services Act
• Solid counseling and assessment abilities
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel
