CBM Ready-Mix is seeking a Laboratory Technician (Student), based in Toronto.

This position is for Students available between May – December 2026.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required to perform test, investigations, research and/or process control.
- Tests and analyzes products such as concrete,



aggregate and cement for plastic and hardened requirements.
- Documents result of tests and analyses.
- Prepares chemical solutions for use in processing materials, following standardized formulas or experimental procedures.
- Conducts maintenance for the laboratory facility
- Plans for efficient use of materials and equipment
- Performs statistical analyses and reports on cement and concrete performance to identify raw material quality.
- Completed, maintains and processes pertinent paperwork and records.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Currently enrolled in Civil Engineering Technician (CET) program, or similar program OR have graduated from the same.
- Fundamental knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel)
- Valid drivers license
- CCIL/CSA certifications for testing concrete/aggregate would be an asset.
