The Coordinator, Menu & Signage is responsible for the execution and ongoing management of all food and beverage menus and signage across digital and print platforms at Rogers Place, home of the Edmonton Oilers. This role plays a critical function in ensuring menu accuracy, brand consistency, and operational efficiency in a high volume, fast paced arena environment.
This position requires a strong balance of graphic design capability and operational precision, supporting food service accuracy, speed of service, guest decision making, and compliance requirements across events.
Position Responsibilities
Menu & Signage Coordination
- Coordinate all Food & Beverage menu and signage requirements across digital menu boards, IPTV systems, and printed materials throughout the arena
- Manage and update digital screen systems, maintaining proficiency in proprietary digital signage software and platforms
- Ahead of each event, execute timely and accurate content updates on all digital menu boards and screens, including items, descriptions, allergens (as provided), pricing, and promotions
- Monitor digital screen performance and accuracy during events; troubleshoot minor issues and elevate to IT or external partners as required
Graphic Design & Production
- Create, edit, and maintain print‑ready and digital menu assets, ensuring efficiency in design updates and adherence to brand standards
- Support layout design and menu organization to enhance readability, guest flow, and point‑of‑purchase decision‑making
- Ensure all menus meet sponsorship, league, and client requirements where applicable
Operational Accuracy & Compliance
- Conduct regular audits of digital and printed menus during events to ensure alignment with POS system data
- Track menu changes and maintain accurate documentation to support Food & Beverage Operations and Culinary teams
- Oversee and ensure consistency and accuracy of allergen communication across all menus and platforms
Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Support
- Partner closely with Marketing, Food & Beverage Operations, Culinary, IT, and Premium Services teams on content execution and updates
- Support promotional campaigns, seasonal programs, and special hospitality initiatives
- Collaborate with technical teams to support ongoing system functionality, upgrades, and troubleshooting
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain strong documentation practices, including version control, standardized templates, and reference materials
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across menu systems
- Provide additional support and take on related responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Fluent in verbal and written English with the ability to professionally communicate and build strong working relationships
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong proofreading, organizational, and time‑management skills
- Experience managing digital content, menus, or signage systems (e.g., digital menu boards, Ampboard platforms, IPTV systems, or similar tools)
- Strong working knowledge of graphic design applications and file preparation for print and digital environments
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Understanding of food service operations and the impact of menu accuracy on speed of service, guest trust, and revenue
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing event schedules and deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Comfortable working with menu data, spreadsheets, and basic reporting to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy
- Ability to blend creative design execution with operational discipline in a high‑volume, live‑event environment
Minimum Qualifications
- Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience with digital content creation, signage management, or graphic design
- Direct experience with Ampboards and/or IPTV systems is considered an asset
- Availability to work evenings, weekends,
and holidays in alignment with the Rogers Place event schedule
