This role resides within the accounting team and provides an opportunity to work closely with Project Managers and operational leaders to monitor project performance, support percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, and provide financial insight throughout the lifecycle of large automation projects.This is an ideal role for a CPA-track accounting professional with project accounting experience who wants to move beyond traditional accounting tasks and become a financial partner to operational teams.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESSupport percentage-of-completion (POC) revenue recognition for automation projectsPartner with Project Managers to monitor project financial performance, costs, and marginsAnalyze project costs and revenue to ensure financial accuracy and profitabilityIdentify financial risks, cost variances,
and margin opportunities within active projectsAssist with project financial forecasting and updates throughout project lifecyclesParticipate in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecastsPerform financial variance analysis and provide insights to managementSupport financial reporting and analysis related to operational performanceAssist in improving financial models and internal reporting toolsSupport month-end and year-end close activitiesPrepare and review project-related journal entries and reconciliationsEnsure accuracy of project financial data within ERP systemsAssist with internal and external audit requirementsOversee accounting policies while making recommendations for continuous improvementProvide backup support for payroll processing as requiredCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Project Managers, engineering teams, and operational leadershipProvide financial insight to support project execution and decision-makingContribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and reportingQUALIFICATIONSEducation:Business Diploma/Degree in Accounting Finance or BusinessChartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or actively pursuing CPAExperience:5+ years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experienceExperience with project accounting or percentage-of-completion revenue recognitionExperience supporting project-based, manufacturing, or engineering environments is preferredSkills (required):Robust analytical and financial problem-solving abilitiesAbility to interpret financial data and communicate insights clearlyStrong collaboration and communication skillsAbility to work effectively with cross-functional teamsSkills (preferred):Experience supporting ERP implementations or financial system improvementsExperience in automation, manufacturing, or engineering environmentsExposure to payroll processing or payroll systems#J-18808-Ljbffr
