Job Description & Summary
At PwC, our tax services professionals focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. We help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimize their tax positions. In tax accounting services, you will assist businesses in preparing and reviewing tax provisions, tax returns, and financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.

Opportunity
As a manager in our Core Reporting group, you’ll work with a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Managing a variety of projects, including compilations, review engagements, and tax compliance engagements.

Collaborating with the team to bring unique insights to clients in tax planning, compliance, accounting, and general business advice.

Reviewing personal and corporate tax returns and other information returns and related correspondence.

Managing interpersonal relationships and building team morale.

Applying strong technical knowledge in personal and corporate tax compliance, accounting standards for private companies, and assurance engagements, researching issues and presenting alternatives and conclusions.

Ensuring all work is completed and documented in accordance with our prescribed standards and billed in a timely manner.

Identifying potential opportunities to provide additional services and deliver as trusted business advisors to clients.

Developing junior team members by sharing best practices, coaching, and instructing courses.

Communicating continuously with Partners about engagement progress and managing engagement economics.

Strengthening existing client relationships and developing current relationships in the community.

Participating in day‑to‑day practice management.

What you’ll bring

Between 3 and 5 years of experience working in a professional accounting firm.

Detailed knowledge and understanding of Canadian corporate and personal income taxes.

Canadian CPA designation or equivalent.

Understanding of ASPE accounting standards.

Experience with Microsoft Office and CCH iFirm.

Excellent organization, prioritization, and project/people‑management skills, with the ability to multitask and maintain high attention to detail.

Strong analytical capability, sound business sense, and a creative mind that has earned a reputation for excellence in client service.

Demonstrated integrity, ethical decision‑making, confident presence in client meetings, and behaviors that build trust across teams and with clients.

Manages a significant portfolio of clients of varying size and scope in various industries, acting as the main point of contact for internal and external clients.

Builds trust and independently manages client relationships, develops a deep understanding of clients’ business and needs, and can handle sensitive client situations.

Effectively develops, coaches, and mentors Managers, Senior Associates, and Associates.

Committed to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $73,400 – $122,400, depending on skill, experience, qualifications and location. Base salary is complemented by variable incentive pay programs that reward individual and firm‑wide achievements.
