Position Details
Type of job: Permanent Full‑time

Location: Annacis Island, Delta (BC)

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; OR Tuesday to Saturday; OR Sunday to Thursday

Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Night Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:30 AM (rotating; 1 month night, 2 months day)

About the Role
The Operations Supervisor oversees the operations of the Vehicle Processing Centre and leads continuous process improvements to achieve a safe, cost‑efficient work environment that meets performance targets.

Job Description

Oversee operations at the Vehicle Processing Center.

Lead continuous process improvements to create a safe and cost‑efficient environment.





Promote a culture of safety and compliance with WWS Health & Safety policies and provincial legislation.

Promote a culture of inclusivity, respect, and open communication.

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring lessons learned are documented and shared.

Collaborate with other departments to develop strategic plans and procedures that increase efficiency.

Coordinate with leads to organize daily crew work.

Foster positive employee relations and employee involvement.

Perform corrective actions as needed.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

3–5 years supervisory and employee relations experience with strong leadership skills.

Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license; ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.

Physically capable of working in a unionized environment, including entering and exiting railcars.

Background in SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual factory management.

Experience in assembly line operations, automotive or mechanical applications.

Excellent time‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Strong verbal and written communication, problem‑solving, and planning skills.

A self‑starter with a strong work ethic and team focus.

Customer‑centric and service‑driven mindset.

Thorough attention to detail and follow‑up.

Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word).
