About the Opportunity
McDougall Energy is looking for a 310T Truck and Coach Technician / Active Apprentice to join our team based in St. Thomas, Ontario. Positions are available on both day and afternoon shifts.

Day Shift: Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Afternoon Shift: Monday 3:00 pm to Friday 3:00 am (12‑hour shifts).

Responsibilities

Servicing and maintaining trucks, trailers, and related equipment in our dedicated fleet.

Performing MTO inspections.

Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing commercial vehicles, pickup trucks and other vehicles, including but not limited to engines, transmissions, cooling systems, air systems, fuel and exhaust systems, brakes and tires, metering and pumping systems, hydraulic and electrical systems.

Cleaning, lubricating and performing other maintenance work.

Operating electronic/diagnostic equipment to analyze vehicle/equipment problems and provide timely, cost‑effective repairs and maintenance.

Performing tank testing, maintenance and repairs.

Ensuring all repairs and maintenance are accurate and in accordance with required standards.

Assisting in preparing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules.

Documenting work performed including daily records and maintenance reports.

Shunting and moving equipment in and out of the truck shop facility.

Maintaining a clean work area/shop including tools and equipment.





Maintaining safe working conditions and adhering to occupational health and safety regulations.

Participating in formal and informal training sessions.

Saturday morning shift will be scheduled on a rotating basis.

Performing other mechanical repair work as required, including small engine repairs.

About You

A valid 310T License or Active Apprenticeship.

Valid G Class Driver’s License.

Dedication to a safety culture.

What We Offer

Pay: $44.00 per hour.

Additional $5.00 per hour afternoon shift premium.

Overtime available – paid after 44 hours.

Annual tool allowance of $500.00.
