Lead the University of Guelph's Athletics and Recreation department as a Senior Director, enhancing student engagement and institutional standing through strategic oversight. This role is based in Guelph, Ontario.

The University of Guelph is looking for a Senior Director of Athletics and Recreation, with a start in late Summer 2026. This leader will manage an operational budget exceeding $14M and a capital budget of about $2M, as well as oversee a significant team of full time and part time staff. Integrating principles of equity and inclusion into all programming will be crucial, as will the collaboration with the Student Affairs Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee operational and capital budgets effectively
• Lead and manage approximately 66 full-time staff




• Implement diverse programming initiatives
• Ensure adherence to anti-racist and accessible practices
• Foster community collaboration at various levels

Requirements:
• Proven experience in managing sports-related programs
• Solid financial management skills
• Undergraduate or master’s degree essential
