TransAlta is hiring a Maintenance Specialist to take charge of electrical and instrumentation system upkeep.
In this unionized position, you will carry out preventative maintenance, respond to urgent situations, and ensure compliance with safety standards. You will also play a key role in supporting operational efficiency and training fellow team members. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and troubleshoot plant electrical instrumentation systems
Perform effective preventative and predictive maintenance
Follow all safety and regulatory protocols
Document work in CMMS and support reliability efforts
Manage spare parts and assist in team training
Requirements:
Journeyperson Electrician Trade Certificate required
Minimum 5 years of experience in related fields
Skilled in troubleshooting and maintenance management
Competent in business IT tools; SAP skills an asset
Solid communication and problem-solving skills
