Job Summary
The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) is a residential, sex offense‑specific treatment program in a modified therapeutic community and secure setting. The Clinical Supervisor provides clinical and administrative supervision to a team of clinical staff within MSOP’s Moose Lake facility, playing a key role in program implementation, crisis response and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Primary Responsibilities
Oversee the implementation of sex offense‑specific treatment programming
Provide clinical oversight and guidance to a team of clinical staff
Offer regular supervision related to clinical skill, treatment planning, client progress and documentation
Facilitate meetings
Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team
Maintain a therapeutic environment
Perform administrative duties, including adherence to labor agreements, hiring and performance management
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s or Doctorate degree in psychology, social work or related field
Licensed or license‑eligible as a mental health professional (LP, LPCC, LMFT, LICSW) in Minnesota
Two years of clinical supervisory experience in mental health and/or sex offense‑specific treatment or assessment
Alternative Qualifications
Master’s or Doctorate degree in psychology, social work or related field
Licensed or license‑eligible as a mental health professional (LP, LPCC, LMFT, LICSW) in Minnesota
Three years of clinical experience with sex offense‑specific treatment or assessment
Demonstrated leadership experience, including at least 1 year of identifying issues, goals and strategic actions, 100+ hours per year time commitment, and/or mentorship, training or feedback to trainees or staff
Additional Requirements
Resume must detail experience with beginning and ending month and year for each position
Reference checks and criminal background checks will be conducted prior to appointment
Applicants must provide a copy of high school diploma or college transcript/degree at interview; college degree must indicate field earned
Must be free from tuberculosis (TB) through a blood test prior to employment
