Senior Accountant
Location: Toronto

Base Salary: $95K- $120K CAD (dependent on experience)

The Client
Our client is a well-established organization operating across North America within a project‑based environment. They are known for their strong financial governance, collaborative culture, and commitment to high‑quality reporting and compliance standards. This role sits within a collaborative finance team supporting both Canadian and U.S. operations.

What you will achieve in this role

Support month‑end and year‑end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting

Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis

Assist with internal and external audits, tax filings, and statutory financial statements

Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and consolidations across North America

Support cash flow reporting and financial forecasting

Maintain and improve internal controls, financial processes, and reporting accuracy

Assist with system and reporting improvements, including automation initiatives

Partner with project managers and internal teams to support project accounting and financial performance tracking

Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial policies





What you must bring to this role

CPA designation

3-5+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience

Public accounting/audit experience from a top audit firm

Experience in mining, engineering, or construction is considered an asset

Strong experience with month‑end and year‑end close

Financial reporting experience in Canada or the U.S.

Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards

Advanced Excel skills

Experience with ERP systems (Sage is an asset)

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills

Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and deadline‑driven
