What We Do
The Managed Accounts Portfolio Services Group Analyst (Senior) plays a senior role in supporting discretionary Managed Accounts investment management. The core objective of this role is to strengthen the end‑to‑end implementation and oversight framework for Managed Accounts portfolios, including senior‑level facilitation of investment and rebalancing activities and the continuous enhancement of portfolio oversight and control practices.

This role encompasses two core functions:

Facilitation of the portfolio implementation process, including oversight of trade modelling, communication of trade orders to the trading desk, and review of daily reconciliations.
Enhancement of portfolio oversight processes, including monitoring, controls, and governance, with a focus on ensuring portfolios are constructed and maintained in alignment with product design, investment objectives, and the evolving needs of Managed Accounts clients.

Success in this role requires collaboration across teams to develop and implement innovative solutions that streamline Managed Accounts portfolio management and operations through leading‑edge, technology‑enabled, data‑driven approaches. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen alongside excellent analytical and communication skills, enabling them to support the development and adoption of effective solutions for the Managed Accounts business.

How You’ll Make An Impact
Deliver effective oversight and control of market related portfolio activities.
Work dynamically with relationship managers and internal partners across trading, settlements, new accounts, reconciliations, security master, technology, and related functions to ensure consistent and accurate portfolio implementation.
Act on behalf of the Managed Accounts Portfolio Services Group in compliance, investment operations, and technology matters.
Work with internal IS partners and external technology vendors to define, prioritize,

and support system enhancements, controls, and ongoing support requirements in alignment with strategic priorities.
Execute and oversee pre‑trade compliance controls on behalf of the Managed Accounts Portfolio Services Group.
Review, clear, and accelerate pre‑trade compliance matters with portfolio managers, relationship managers, and compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Independently assess, manage, and resolve non‑routine or complex issues and projects as they arise, coordinating with Fidelity Canada business partners and representing Managed Accounts interests where appropriate.

What We’re Looking For
Completion of a university degree or equivalent experience.
5+ years of relevant experience.
Significant exposure to portfolio management, product development, trading, and/or investment operations for an asset manager or related entity.
Analytical/programming experience.
CFA Level 1 or CIM is required.
Must be licensed as an Associate Advising Representative (OSC).
Experience as a portfolio trader or similar investment operations and portfolio services role is an asset.

What You Will Bring
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to independently analyze complex issues, identify root causes, assess impact, and develop well‑reasoned solutions and recommendations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Access, VBA, and programming languages such as Python is an asset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate investment, operational, and technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Solid understanding of investment products and portfolio construction, including product structures across multiple asset classes (equities, fixed income, and alternative investments) and how they are used in discretionary managed portfolios.
Experience with middle‑ and back‑office investment operations, including familiarity with portfolio lifecycle processes, operational controls, and related policies and procedures.
Experience working with complex financial services systems that support portfolio management, trading, data, and compliance (e.g., portfolio management systems, market data platforms, and related tooling).
Strong judgment and decision‑making capability.
Proven ability to collaborate cross‑functionally, working effectively with portfolio managers, relationship managers, compliance,

operations, technology teams, and external vendors.
Solutions‑oriented and adaptable mindset.
